Moving GameVault to a New Phone

Your account is not stored on the handset — here is what that means in practice.

The Short Answer

Your GameVault account does not live on your phone. It is tied to the username and PIN your agent issued, and your balance travels with the account rather than the device. Moving to a new handset means installing the app again and signing in — not starting over.

Before You Wipe the Old Phone

This is the step people skip, and it is the one that causes trouble. Make sure you have your username and PIN written down somewhere that is not the old device and not a chat thread you might clear. A password manager is ideal. If you cannot find them, sort that out while you still have the working install — it is a much easier conversation than starting from nothing.

Setting Up the New Device

Because GameVault is not distributed through the public app stores, you do not restore it from a backup or an app-store purchase history. You install the current build directly, the same way you did the first time:

  • Message the channel you already use — WhatsApp, Telegram or Messenger — and say you are moving to a new device.
  • Install the build they send. Do not search for a download independently; that is where cloned copies get installed.
  • Sign in with your existing username and PIN. See the login guide if the sign-in screen is unfamiliar.

Platform-specific steps are in the Android walkthrough and the iPhone walkthrough.

Switching Between Android and iPhone

Changing platform does not change your account. The same credentials work across Android, iPhone and PC, and your balance follows. What changes is the install process, so tell your agent which platform you are moving to and they will send the right build.

The Mistake to Avoid

Do not create a new account on the new phone. It feels like the obvious move when you cannot immediately sign in, but it splits your history across two accounts and takes longer to unwind than the original problem. If sign-in fails, retype the credentials carefully first, then message support — a human provisioned your account, so a human can look at it. Login problems covers the usual causes in order.

Keeping the Old Phone Signed In

You can, but think about who else has access to that device before you leave it signed in — particularly if you are selling it or passing it on. Wipe it properly first. The account security guide covers protecting issued credentials.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I lose my balance when I change phones?

No. The balance is attached to your account, not the handset. Signing in on the new device brings it with you.

Can I move from Android to iPhone?

Yes. The same username and PIN work on either platform — only the install steps differ, so tell your agent which device you are moving to.

What if I already wiped the old phone and lost my PIN?

Message the channel you used for setup and ask for a restore. Do not create a second account, as that makes it harder to resolve.

How do I transfer GameVault to a new phone?

Message your agent, install the build they send on the new device, and sign in with your existing username and PIN. There is no file to copy across — the account is not stored on the handset.

Do I need to reinstall GameVault on the new phone?

Yes. Because the app is not distributed through the app stores, it is not restored from a backup or purchase history. You install the current build again, then sign in.
